Windmill
A windmill is a repeating discovered check, usually a rook swinging off a bishop’s diagonal, that picks up material each time.
The bishop stays fixed, aimed at the king. The rook checks, then steps off the diagonal to capture, then returns to check again. The king is stuck in the pattern until the captures run out.
Rxg7 starts it. The bishop on e5 aims at h8 through g7. After the rook takes, it can slide along the seventh rank with discovered checks and come back to g7.
Windmills are rare in quiet games and common in puzzles. If you ever get a rook to the seventh with a bishop on the long diagonal, look for the loop before you take a single pawn and stop.
